So today was my first trip couponing. I decided after my dentist appointment that it would be a good time to go couponing in Myrtle Beach because I didn’t have the kids with me. When I left the house at 3.45pm my husband said, “so you’ll be home at what time…around 7 or so?” He was making a joke because he thought I would be home before that. I came back with the response that, “well….I”ll be home a little after that…” and I shrugged and walked out the door coupon notebook in tow.
So I went to CVS first and just browsed the store a little bit looking for items that I had coupons for. I noticed a few of the store employee’s walking past me several times looking at my notebook and stacks of coupons. They were probably thinking, “oh no…not another myrtle beach couponer.” But I just went about my business. The first deal I found was back at the powerbars. We eat them all the time and with my husband working outdoors he needs extra protein to keep him going in the hot heat.
The store promo was -buy 2 get 1 free- my coupon was for -buy 1 get 1 free- so I thought well maybe that would make it -buy 1 get 2 free- I thought I would try it. I had three different coupons for different types of power bars so I put 9 of them in my cart.
The second deal I found was at the pantene products. The store promo was -2 for 6.97 with 2.00 in ExtraBucks for your next purchase- I had two coupons. -save 3.00 on any 2 pantene products- as well as -save 1.00 on any pantene products- I didn’t know if all that would work together but I put a shampoo and conditioner in my cart and thought I would give it a try.
The third deal I found was on the Emerald Dark Chocolate Almonds. The promo was -buy one get one free- and I had a coupon for -1.50 off any one-
So I get t the register and asked the girl to bear with me becacuse I am learning couponing. Her face showed such non-exuberance. I proceeded with my purchase. Here was the outcome.
